So, I cast a bunch of Rapine 577 OS today and they measure between .5787 and .579. At that calibre they lightly touch the rifling at the muzzle (after placing them in the muzzle and removing them you can see five faint smear marks) Am going to lube them up and bust some caps in the next couple of days. I am eager to see how a much finer tolerance will perform.

Rob: Play with that load a little. You may find even better accuracy if you increase the powder a little. Go up in 5 grain increments, and stop if you see the groups opening up. Then go back down by 2 grain increements. This assumes, of course, there are no changes in range conditions that explain why the groups are opening up.
