I know poeple say if it is not broken leave it alone but, I did not. :nono: I was wanting to know if anyone has used the patch lube sold by TOW called trapper choice mink oil. I started using it and have been getting misfires a lot. Does anyone else have this problem?

I know that part :blah: I was brushing out the bore between shots. It seemed to make a big mess and that mink oil is very slick

One Eye,
I use TOW's Mink Tallow, And have had good luck with it.[so far] Under 40 degrees I use it straight. As it gets warmer I add in Bee's wax to stiffen the mix. I do use bore buttons [which I belive] help keep the charge dry. This stuff has a real low melting point and will liquify if left in the sun this time of year. My club's ranges have no cover so we are at the mercy of the sun. The tallow works well in cold weather too. I have used it down into the low twentys where it will still remain reasonably soft....Jim

I like Deer tallow, only lube I bought was TC Max-Lube back in 1980's Dilly

I've been using it now this spring. no missfires at all and the fouling has been minimal and soft. I like the stuff.

Before I started using the deer tallow, I used groundhog&beewax. Groundhog, skunk, and bear stay liquid. Why I had to add beewax. The deer won't run when it gets warm, just soft.Nice to carry in tins. Good stuff, and cheap. Dilly
