Was cleaning and oiling up my new Bess today and dumb me managed to get the patch to fall off the ramrod and it's now at the bottom of the barrel. Sure I'm not the first one. Any ways to get it out?
All kinds of things already mentioned will work.
as a last resort I would work 10 or 15 grains of priming powder behind it thru the vent and shoot it out.

I would tell you how to pull the patch out ............................ but I can't think of anything not covered by everybody that beat me to the post. I would believe that some day in the year 2024, you will get a post or two from someone that has a 1/4 inch, 4 foot robotic arm with a pincer attachment that will do the trick nicely. Such is the great amount of people on this forum who just love helping others.
Oh great, now I'm drawing technical sketches of four foot long miniature robotic pincers. Like I need another hobby.
