I got some ticking at Jo'Anns and when I measured it with amike at the place it measured .018". I brought it home and washed it and then it measured .022"---now I have a couple of guns that are tight with Ox-Yoke .015"----I brought a strip of this Jo'Anns ticking with me to the range and proceeded to load using bear grease lube. I didn't have one problem with loading with this material----I retrieved the patches expecting all kinds of hell- and they were just perfect :hmm: I dunno but now I am confused. Wally World has no ticiking whatsoever as of now---but when they do I will be probably picked up by security with my dial mike in my hand. :hatsoff:

Hmmm..maybe I lucked out here where I live. Went to wally world and talked to an older lady in the fabric dept. Not only did they have the ticking, but when I told her what I wanted it for..she knew right away what I was talking about. Seems her whole family shoots black powder. While the ticking is too thick...she did show me some muzlin that works great for me. :g

Muslim works great, and generall is .10-.15", and if ya need ticking thats's what magic markers are for. :rotf: Ya can make yer own Bill

I am confused also. Why not go back to JoAnn's and get the same ticking ? The ticking holds lube well and compresses easily also.Use Firm pressure when using the micrometer on the cloth so you get the thickness of the cloth compressed.
