From what I gathered looking at my catalog, all "Hawken" Rifles 1990 and older had a 1-66" Round Ball twist, except the 24" barreled Hunter Carbine. It was 1-48".

Drum and nipple.
I buy a lot of guns from pawnshops and most of them have NOT been cleaned. Shot and put away. Their customers may not take the best care of their equipment, just sayin.
This one was definitely not cleaned nor taken care of well. But it allowed me to finally procure a "Hawken" rifle. After cleaning it up, she seems good to go.
