Has anyone here used Pecatonica river gun supply for replacement stocks?

Looking for some pics of their stocks and any feedback on the company....Thanks

They are my first choice. The top three seem to be Dunlop's (Dunlap's?) Gunstocks plus and Pecatonica in no particular order. Pecatonica has a great user-friendly website and customer service is top notch.

I recently got a plain maple trade gun stock from Pecatonica and am very satisfied with the piece of wood they sent me  If I do my part it will finish up into a very nice looking stock.

When or if I build another gun the wood will come from Pecatonica.

Pecatonica River?
A most excellent company run by a great guy who is extremely easy to work with.

Dick Greensides has owned the company for years and provides good stocks along with good hardware at prices that are almost always lower than any of the competition.
His company owns a multi-spindle stock profiling machine so every stock he sells is one his company made.
There is a good rumor that his company supplies the stocks for TOTW and possibly other companies.

All in all, if you buy his products you can't hardly go wrong.

Course I might be slightly bias on this.
All but one of these stocks came from his company.

A few yrs ago I ordered a half stocked Hawken from Pecatonica and found the lock inlet to be mislocated. Drove down to their shop and they replaced the grade 4 w/ a premium grade 5 sugar maple. Wow....the tight curls were outstanding and it's now on my son's elk rifle. Excellent people to deal with......Fred

just so ya know their pre-inlet t/c stocks are not drop-in.

Yes, they are all Maple.

The top one is a Pecatonica River #2 grade Curly Maple.
The second from the top and the 4th thru the 8th is Pecatonica Rivers #3 Curly Maple.

The 3rd from the top is a Tip Curtis stock he was selling so cheap I couldn't pass it up even though it was cut for a straight 1 inch barrel.
It currently has a Green Mountain 1" octagon barrel bored for .54 caliber and it weighs over 10 pounds.

I have a trapper pistol, english shotgun, fullstock fowler, and fullstock virginia. Pleased with all of them, and the service has been excellant.

Yes. build 2 flinters from thier stocks and replaced the stock on my TC Hawken with one of the TC stocks. Great company.

I have built several rifles using their parts. Never a problem with them. I get the stocks 90% inletted (90% of wood removed, 90%of fitting left). Always happy with the results. Call them up and talk; they may want your old stock to pattern from.
