I don't think Pedersoli tried to reproduce anything from history with this gun. I think it's just a functional hunting weapon for muzzleloading season.

How can a hunting gun be satisfactory with no way to carry a ramrod on the gun unless the shooter is shooting driven birds while standing by a table?
 
In the field I never use the ramrod on my gun. I also carry an auxiliary rod that is larger diameter. Fits in a loop on my field bag and does not intrude at all.

Its made by a German (I think) company called Artax. Possibly out of business now (?).
12g. Nice little lock. Quite fast.
Unfortunately I had to reshape the stock. It had some cast the wrong way!
Its claim to fame was a henbird that lifted at 30yds plus and went with the wind fast. I flicked the gun through and fired and got the bird.

Can you elaborate on the charge you use for this neat little firearm?

seems like its easy to carry
