Just wondering if anyone had a Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken? I'm thinking of getting one and was wondering about the quality of the rifle.

Dan

dan they are very good qualty, you do no that they are a 1 in 24 twist and are better at shooting minis or slugs.the .54 rocky mountain hawkin is 1 in 65 twist for round balls. i have a very old .54 tryon with a 1in 47 twist it shoots rb and minis.

I recall reading a write up on the new Pedersoli Hawken rifles Dan, and they were given a good rating. They only come in 54 cal and have adjustable bucksights. Apparently the snail is different from what was found on the later original Hawken rifles but was found to of little or no consquence. I also saw some black and white pictures of the rifle and appeared to be very nice looking.

Thanks for the info. I found a great place to buy them although it may take 9-12 weeks. It's Cherry's Fine Guns. They have a good website.

Cabelas had a rocky mountain rifle last week,,,very nice, love to have one,,,,

I looked at a Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken on Friday. They are beautifully made rifles. I'd love to have one.

I have to brag a lil. After reading this post I looked into to getting one. Got the go ahead from my lovely wife (who deserves a very nice x-mas present now) and now I should have the Rocky Mountain with maple stock in the mail. Just have to wait for R&R now so I can shoot it. I can't wait :shocked2: Been wanting a bigger caliber ever since I got my first gun. Don't get me wrong I like my .45 but a man can never have enough toys. Plus that tax free paycheck I get over here made it easier on the budget. Pedersoli is rather proud of that rifle even while on sale. Ordered through Cabella's online store, not sure how long the sale will last.

Don't forget to post pictures! The walnut version is nice but the maple version is gorgeous.

Well as soon as I get R&R I will post some pic's. Hope you can wait 'till January. Actually, I might be able to convince my wife to post some. Should be at the house tomorrow. I'll see what I can coax her in to.
