Looking for a new replacement lock for my shorty 28 inch Pedersoli trade gun. It needs a new main spring but rather have a whole new lock because I follow 1 is none 2 is 1 rule. TOW has been out of stock for as long as I remember and VTI wants $100 more for the OEM lock. I have another trade gun I found before my shorty that I can switch locks out for the time being but want to have 2 working guns with parts to spare. Any suggestions?

Call Flintlocks Ect if you want a Pedersoli part or an entire lock. I’ve had to buy a broken mainspring and a broken frizzen spring for a Pedersoli Mortimer in the last year. $80 for the mainspring and $60 for the frizzen spring. Pedersoli parts are ridiculously high. A new L&R lock would have just been a few dollars more if they had one that would have fit.

Dixie Gun Works has a Grice Lock Mainspring. you can also have the busted one copied by Butchs Antique Gun Parts. Butch will cast a few for you, it takes long but worth the wait.
