I have that same gun, and shoot it a lot on targets (probably close to 15,000 rounds) because it is easy to clean. I use 68 grains FFg and 3/4 ounce 8.5 shot for targets, 7/8 ounce 7.5 shot on grouse/woodcock or pigeons, 1 ounce 6 shot on pheasants. In practical terms, that's essentially what Woody is using, if you adjust for the different particle size of the powders. Mine weighs a hair over 7 pounds (Ped. catalogue has a typo on this), while my 1970's 12 gauge is a little under 6 pounds, so I wouldn't call it really light, but it swings smoothly. It has been a very serviceable and reliable gun.
