I was going to put the 57sml on a really nice Renegade stock I have with a 36 cal GM slow barrel.
Had all the parts and hummed an hawwed about inletting the wood (Yikes!) or doing the grind job as you show.
Finally decided it was a project I could do without and passed the barrel an sight to others, I already have a .40 so, I guess I didn't want a dedicated sight for just that stock an barrel, :idunno:
But I knew it's a custom job to put the 57 on Ren stock. It's NOT a drop in job like on a Hawkin, the stock is wider. Nice sight though
