Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
I came up with that chart by weighing out 1oz, 1 1/8oz, etc of # 7 1/2 lead shot, and then poring it in an adjustable powder measurer to see where it came up to.
may be as simple as a week sear spring . this was a common problem on even the old hammered breech loaders . when the sear spring gets week it allows the sear to bounce out of the full cock but still is strong enough to keep it sliding along the tumbler and catch on the half cock .
also many times the left had lock on right handed guns weaken first , this is do to a heaver handed pull on the back trigger thus over compressing the sear spring .
Well... I got the 10 ga back today... Gunsmith said that the sear was broken at the tip. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I want to thank all who responded to my post... :front:
