Hello! It's been awhile since I've made anything worth posting but here is my first try at a penny knife.

The blade is rebar and the handle is oak. I got a 12 inch lathe on Friday so I needed to make something to justify it to my wife! My touchmark is in the shape of a coffin. It's a temporary one. Just wanted to see if I could make a simple one and get it hard enough to mark without shattering.

Love the character of the blade. Will gladly send you some scrap rebar for a blade!

Thank you sir! My attempts at larger blades will be with better steels. Your work inspired me to try this.
