I have a Euroarms Enfield Musketoon that is supposed to use musket percussion caps. I'm finding it difficult to find these in my area and would like to know if the nipple can be changed out for the more easier to find #10 or #11 caps and will they work for this musket.

TOW= Track of the Wolf, a major muzzleloading supplier. They have a large website so you can check them out.

Before you change out that nipple to one that accepts smaller rifle caps, you should really consider getting some musket caps....even if you have to bight the bullet and mail order them.

This first link is for RWS caps. The best I.M.H.O.

This link is for CCI caps, I have no experience with their musket caps but find their rifle caps are not as hot as those from RWS.

Or if there is a Cabela's or Bass Pro near you they are an option.

Musket caps will give you more reliable ignition, hands down over smaller rifle caps.

Good luck and enjoy, J.D.

If your bound and determined to change out your Enfields musket nipple to one that uses a #11 cap then use this link to get to Track of the Wolf.

It should take you to the 5/16-24 threaded #11 nipple that should fit your gun.

If you want to spend a little more and buy the ampco material which gives better life put these letters into the TOW search box and poke "search"
