I'm considering adding to my Pietta .44 cal. collection and I would like opinions from members that own and shooting the Pietta .44 cal. snub nose.

I've got both the .36 and .44 versions. If it is the one with the "bird's head" grip you are talking about, I find that it is a very nice grip and fits my hand well.

Mine are reasonably accurate shooters, taking into account the short sight radius. But they of course are not meant to be target pistols.

Only cons I can think of are the need to remove the cylinder for loading (a brass rod is included with the revolver for loading, but I think that it is near worthless - much easier just to load the cylinder off the revolver with a loading press), and that they have a bit of a "bark", thanks to the short barrel.

Other than those minor issues I think that they are handy revolvers and a lot of fun to shoot.

Get one - I'm sure you will like it!
