I saw that. I think they went a little heavy handed on the antiquing. There’s clearly red rust in the bolt notches and some other places. Probably didn’t do a good job of neutralizing whatever they used to age the metal, and they mention rust in the chambers and bore!

I think I’d prefer just blued, don’t need it to look 150 years old.

I had the same observations as you. I probably would have bought it myself if it was just left alone, or skillfully defarbed.
