Pillow ticking patch material?

I hang the strips on my horn! Pre-lubed with whatever I'm using. Usually olive oil. Cut at the muzzle!

I bought a yard. Washed in hot water, no detergent or anything. Highest heat setting on the dryer. I soak in a 4:1 H2O/Ballistol solution. Then lay the stops flat on a dollar store cookie sheet.
