I just ordered some from Track of the Wolf. Great company. There are plenty of others such as Dixie Gun Works.

Mattress ticking is thicker than pillow ticking. Maybe that's what you want.

Onlinefabricstore.net. An assortment of cotton ticking, canvas duck, linen. And they will sell you a 6x6 inch sample for a buck if you want to put calipers on it before committing to several yards of the stuff,

Not ticking very often, though I have found it, but you could check thrift/resale stores for usable patching.
You get a few odd looks, picking through w/a micrometer in hand, but I find good stock there. The best stock is usually on the women's side.

Crazycrow.com has old time fabric blue strip ticking that is 2oz .

After you get it, burn a small piece. If there is any plastic in it, there will be little hard pieces of plastic in the ashes. Cotton burns all the way up to grey ash. 100% cotton isn't always 100%.

Is .022 pillow ticking made? All i've seen is .015 and .018.

That's pretty thick. Try using a larger ball and .015" ticking. I believe you will get better shooting results.

I get my .022 at Ben Franklin. It's the real ticking not the fake stuff .

I buy mine at fabric stores like JoAnns as well. You can find thick or thinner. I like the thicker, seems like it's about .020

Walmart. Ticking with golden/tan stripes is about .022

Have ordered 10 oz canvas from BurlapFabric that measures .022”, .0165” compressed, at least the way I measure it.
