I loaded with a clean dry barrel, about a month ago.

I run a lubed patch down the bore before heading out to hunt.

Today I run a lubed patch down them, then shot the target to see if the [POI] 'Point of Impact' had changed. [dirty barrel, clean barrel thing]

On my 54 cal slug gun, I have found that running a lubed patch after loading keeps my first and second shot together. [ a note of caution ] the slug will pull of the powder, you must reseat the bullet!!

I have been trying a 50/50 mix of Murphy's Oil Soap and Olive Oil as a patch lube. [ something simple to make] It has been doing very well!

With my 62 and PRB, I also loaded on a clean dry barrel. Using a 72 cal. over the shot card, then loaded the PRB with the 50/50 lube. Run a lubed patch down the bore and the first ball will be with the second.

Any Way.........the 'Point Of Impact" looks very good to me!

And..........as you can tell.........No Deer This Year! :(

A Note of Info: the 62 was sighted in dead on at 50, the 54 was sighed in for 90 yds.
