Polishing model cannon bore

Hi All, I have purchased and assmebled a 50 cal model naval cannon. The bronze barrel has been machine bored. Is there anything I can buy that I can use with my drill press/hand drill to sand and polish the bore? It is seven inches long and bored to 1/2" . Thanks!

I have used a wooden dowel with a split end where you can insert a a couple strips of emory cloth etc.

 

You could try a Two Arm Small Car Brake Hone, they spread out from a 1/2" to 2 1/4 inches.

Napa auto parts tell me they have brake cylinder hones that go that small. The split dowl or split steel rod as mentioned above is easy and cheap
