Does anybody know where I can get some patterns for a possibles bag. I am wanting to make a fairly large one with the ball starter on the strap etc. I have a beaver hide that I would like to fit into the design even if it is just using part of it for the flap. Took a quick look on the web but wasn't able to find any place where you could download patterns. Any help would be appreciated.

There was an article in Bacwoodsman Magazine about a large Possibles bag a reader had made. It even had knife and hawk sheaths attached to it. Looked like it would hold everything but the kitchen sink.

If you are interested I could dig it out and e-mail it to you.

I have every isasue of Backwoodsman going back to 1999.

I agree. I have several patterns I could post as well in a pdf format. Just print them up and trace them. :hatsoff:

I'd love to see more patterns posted!

I'm just getting into making bags.

Wow! What a responce from all. I am sure that I will have enough great ideas to get me started. Thanks for all your help!

Its funny just last night I was reading tht article in backwoodsman. If ya need it just pm me your addy, and I will scan and send it to you. It was very good!!!

Thanks Hawkchucker, but I collect The Backwoodsman myself. It's the only magazine I still buy.

I remember the article you are talking about. That bag would be way too big for my tastes.

Also check out the Book of Buckskinning Vol... lh manure can't remember which vol, 3? No might be vol 6. Someone here will correct me. Anyway, it has a good section on pattern making and putting a bag together, some good tips there.
