Radiator shops are no longer easy to find and most work seems to be on truck & industrial engines as so many cars have gone to plastic & aluminum radiators. That said, I found one & paid plenty to have the radiator on my '62 Land Rover recored.
 
Copper can get pretty hot, but a more serious concern might be getting any other soldered joints on the flask so hot that they separate. There are other solders that will melt below 400 F.
 
How far back does your collection go? For fur trade @ 1800 most use a powder horn although I've seen reference to leather powder container.

WOW!!! now i know where all of the powder flasks have gone and why i can't find any??

All the stuff you show us is super neat. Anything you have that is ml related I'm sure will be interesting.
