I went to the range yesterday and fired two shots
in my 50 cal rifle. As I was cleaning for the
third shot, I ran a Wonder Lube Blue cleaning patc
down to the breech and out came sandy/grainy
powder that looked un-burned. Not much but
maybe 3-8 grains.
Is this unburned powder or prime powder or what?
Is this normal or happen to any other shooters.
I even use an over powder felt wad and a .15
patch on a .490 ball. My recovered patch showed
very frayed edge 360 degrees but fairly intact
everywhere else.
