Golden Sky, unfortunately every state has their liberal “Art” area and Portsmouth happens to be ours in addition to a few others towns. But when you look at the big picture the live free or die state has few gun laws, is a constitutional carry state, great hunting and fishing to mention a few. Again, Unfortunately, we are currently stuck with dems at the federal level. I hope that changes in November. All in all not a bad place to live.

Every place has the far left or right that lives in their bubble and thinks everyone else should join them. I am a centrist and find it difficult to find a place where I want to live that doesn't have extremes. CA is where I and my wife were born when it wasn't so nuts. We call where we live the CA Riviera, it's nice, right on the coast and we are old so moving is a big issue for us.

I'm RE-newD here but have been a BP shooter for over 60 years. I live in CA, CommieforniA . CA is seriously infringing on gun (firearms) owners and our rights. I'm guessing that muzzleloaders are next. We can still mail-order BP arms and accessories but for how long?

As I’m sure you know, California does not have “Weather”! Tennessee has all the seasons…….sometimes all in the same week. It can rain anytime and often does. Weather reports are guidelines and by no means accurate. It gets hot here and it is humid but not like Texas or Louisiana humid. I’m still new enough to the area that the weather just makes me laugh. I mean rain in July and August!!!! What is this magic????

I heard that California outlawed lead for projectiles. Does that include muzzle loaders, slings, slingshots, cross bow pellet bows? Steel shot or lead substitutes for waterfowl requirements have been around a long time.

Yes, there is a ban on lead hunting ammo in good ol' Commiefornia. I still shoot lead in my muzzleloaders. I hear some guys are trying Zinc but I think that's crazy. Zinc is hard and probably doesn't obturate well.

Hey, I can hardly afford lead. I shoot patched lead balls or Lee R.E.A.L Conicals in my 45, 50 and 58. Lead is getting expensive here and harder to find. What's the cost on Tungsten balls?

$20 a round. super heavy, its the closet thing to a DU round... sure would be interesting to see the damage it can do to an engine block

I'm not much of a snow person, I loved skiing before my knees went out. I like to visit the snow for about a week or less. I hated living in it for 7 months when I was in the Army. I liked the New England states in the late Spring and Summer but not so much in the Winter.
