Well now the wait begins!! Pretty excited to get the
Kibler's Longrifle
58 Caliber Colonial. I went with a smooth bore.

Congratulations, you made a fine decision!

Over the many rifles I have built this true "kit" was absolutely a pleasure to build. Also with the .54 smooth barrel it has proven more accurate than I'll likely ever be. Waiting is now your demise, but worth the pain!

Wow I hope mine turns out half as nice as your gun!!!

So.....do you need a lot of experience to put this together ? I’ve been doing Body and Paint work for 42 years....if it was sheet metal and needed a Tri Coat Pearl Paint Job ...I can do that ! Thanks

My first muzzleloader build.

Just watch Kibler’s “how to vids” before you start, take your time as it’s not a race, learn how to cover up mistakes as you go and when you think it’s ready to stain, sand it 2 more times.

Just be patient and take your time, no rushing. Many can build these faster or slower depending on the individual. I hate rushing, I personally enjoy building and have no desire to rush the end result. While you can gather a basis for time in assembly, it's not worth rushing. Also they are not "hard", however you still need the basic skill sets if building. Overall for a first time go for someone who has read up on building they are a phenomenal choice. For the money you won't find a more quality true kit rifle. Yes you could spend lesser on a... lesser kit elsewhere, but then you have just that, which is a lesser quality rifle worth little to nothing. With a Kibler you have a high quality piece from high quality parts that will be a investment in the end.

I was so impressed the cock fell on his mountain rifle, which just came in a few weeks ago. I typically have two or three builds going at once so it'll be nice to bounce around to the mountain rifle for some decompress time.
