LnRs Queen Anne is a great looking lock, she just needs a lot of work, unless you want to skin squirrels with it.
If they tuned them the way we want them it would double the price.
Last time I used an LnR lock it was a little more work than a Chambers and a Lot more work than a Kibler.
Like you I’ll use an LnR Queen Anne on my next pistol, in my dealings with the Company I’ve found them very responsive and reasonable.

Ok here's three Chambers locks. Top to bottom Deluxe Silver, Dale Johnson, and the Colonial VA. I haven't touched the top two yet.
Polish the lock. Then age it back or leave it a little rough. The old folks didn't have sandblasters to put that "as made at the factory" finish on the locks.

If you saw the barrel, you'd see why I want as much texture as possible on all the parts I install. It's one ugly barrel.
It will go against every fiber of my being, but I'll probably age the stock as well. Ding up a newly made stock will make me want to throw up a little.
The sandblasted finish is too even to look right. Notice this patchbox finish on my Harn rifle. He was a master at antiquing.

As a craftsman, I wear many hats. The hats I can never get to fit properly are the hand engraving hat and the painting on canvas hat.
It all looks contrived and slipshod. We all have our limitations I guess.
