I bought mine about four years ago and it was a factory completed gun . Although I can't really feel it the bore must be rough because I have to swab with solvent or alcohol between shots or the second ball will get stuck most of the time. Wood to metal fit is poor, the wedge pins easily fall out, and the stock finish sucks. However, the gun shoots well and has been 100% reliable. I would say that for the investment it is ok and at some point I will rectify all it's issues. The new Pedersoli guns look like a big improvement . I have a 54 GPR Flintlock Signature in my future.

My GPR was a 2001 NOS/NIB I bought on GB a couple of years ago. The wood to metal fit was not bad (B+/A-) grade. The wood finish was terrible. I removed a lot of the muddy, dark stain with alcohol and refinished with tung oil. Going to strip it in the next month or so, reshape the wood, and completely refinish it.
