Hello everyone, I have Peitta Navy 36 Sheriffs model. It is old and at on time was very rusty. I cleaned it up and bought all new screws and springs for it. I knew the hand would need to be fitted but I’m having a problem with the trigger spring. When the hammer is pulled back to the first notch, the cylinder should rotate freely by hand but when I rotate the cylinder one chamber length it locks up like when the hammer is all the way back. Has anyone gone through this after installing new springs? I’m not sure where to make the adjustment on the new trigger spring. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Phill.

Do you mean the bolt/cylinder stop spring? New spring is often a tight fit in the frame and It will fail to clear when on half ****. A little careful polishing may do the trick. Go slow and easy on the work though, better to try it often while polishing.

J.B.
