After experience and reading from knowledgeable folks here, I got rid of my brushes. I use a wet (not damp) patches when needed. Run a dry patch or two and have never had damp powder issues. If you use brushes enough, eventually you'll be on the forum asking about how to extract a stuck one.
Got one stuck! Pulled nipple clean out screw, bolster not removable, felled with Swiss null B untill it would hold no more.
I do not know how much it held but was very little used a pan primer, replaced screw caped the nipple and shot it out. Very quick and easy peasy.
could have also tried the co2 tool it works very well for dry ball.
