What is the different in size between the red and black striped pillow tickin sold at wally world?????

I use the dark blue and its about 16 to 17. I think the red I tried was thinner. I also use any cotton fabric. I got a old shirt that was 100% cotton and was about 8 thousands. I just double it and it works great.

hobbles Morning to you also. I was doing a search and someone had said the red was thicker. If you have a Mic. take it a long. Thats what I do. But I do use the blue for my 54 cal. and I use a white with blue grapes I think that is .014. That I also bought at wally world for my 45. cal. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I think I will get a lil of both and sea what my weapon likes best, I'm startin to wonder if I'll ever find the PERFECT load set up, :hmm:

The dif in the ticking is the color only. Same weave & fabric, just dif color. And at Walmart even tho the SKU number may be the same each time, lots if dif in thickness. They buy from the cheapest supplier, and quality is not an issue, thus one time the blue striped may be .015 and the next time same SKU be .011 & etc. Same way for the red. I was there 6 mo ago & found a bolt of red striped .016 which amazed me & I bought it because the thickest I have seen here in 5 years was .011-.012.
Also the material from there is very inconsistant in the weave. For most shooters it is not an issue, but if you are a serious target shooter you need consistant weave & consistant thickness & a cotton drill fromm a good fabric store will do ya better. All boils down to what ya want, cheap or quality & how serious a shooter ya are.

you are right they are the same thickness and they do vary from lot to lot. when muzzleloading matches was going on every weekend we bought a lot of material. it got so if some one showed up at the fabric store with a mic. the sales women would know what you wanted.

i have used blue and red tick bothe shot the same. i also used some blue denim that was .018 it shot well too.

Went to Wal Mart and bought a yard of each Red .012, Blue .018. Found the GPR shot great with the Blue. Went back, checked to make sure it was the same size and bought 4 yds should last me a long tine. Cut the red into cleaning patches.

I wonder if that was that particular store or Wally World in all of the States?
I guess after the Christmas rush is over, I'll have to ask around.
