When I was a kid there was an oldtimer named Bill Roberts and he always had one in his lunch box to use.
When he was younger he worked in the CCC camps.

wow, I haven't heard the CCC, CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORPS. mentioned in 50 + yrs. my father worked for it in the thirties. he cut a lot of trees and dug a lot of fire holes in the state forests.
