This is new no box item. Most Howdah pistols I came across were in 20GA, this one is .58 cal with rifled barrels. Other interesting features include early style metal ramrod and something I see for the first time - rear leaf flip sight.
I'm not really motivated to sell it but if you will give me $850 you can have it from my tear soaked hands.

It's not old style. It was sold by Cabelas, and still is. The original ones used wood only. Would hate to accidentally fire one withe metal rod in it as it;s hinged. It happens... Even the wood ramrod versions are tapped to accept the metal ramrod. Percussion and flintlock.
Mike, the first iteration of the Pedersoli howdah pistol had the swivel. That is not being made now. The later, now current version has the wooden ramrod. Historically, the swivel retaining the ramrod was used by every high quality maker I have seen, like the matching pair by Charles Lancaster in this article: https://huntertt.blogspot.com/2017/06/charles-lancaster-pair-of-rare-and.html?m=1
