hello all
stopped by a little gun/pawn shop today, guy has a
nice display of old firearms. one is a 1860 army,
pretty well worn an all, but what i noticed about
it was it has a cut out in the recoil shield on
the screw head side as well as the screw end side.
it was down at the bottom and exposed the 8
o'clock nipple. ( viewed from back ) any body else
seen anything like that? factory or an old mood?
have a good one.

Might be for adding a butt stock, should also have a cut in the bottom of the grip frame.
