Red Hot Nipples

I just bought a #11,-.75 mm Red hot nipple and my GPR will not half cock when this nipple is installed. Anyone else use Red hot nipples? Anyone else have this problem?


The Red hot nipple is a little longer than the factory nipple.

Is there any adjustments that can be made?

That's truly weird. I use them on a couple of GPRs without problems. Can't imagine what in the world they'd have to do with the half cock, but I'm ready to learn.

Had a similar problem with my GPR and a Hot-Shot nipple.
Seems the Hot-Shot was a twitch too tall and at half cock, the hammer was way too close to the cap.
A little file work and a light touch up with some paper while the nipple was in a drill chuck cured the problem. Didn't have to remove too much either.
