Don't knock it. I have used one that had a wood 'V' block attached to the top. Worked great and was easy to adjust.
Photographs seem to be lacking the required tool to turn the threaded rod to raise or lower the thing. Using a standard tire lug nut tool or something more specialized?Laugh all you want, but it works. Rest is velcroed to the jack so it is removable at any time. No wobble on mine
