Information added This is a classic. I love the understated beauty of a finely crafted Southern Mountain Rifle and this one has it in spades. The .45 browned 42" barrel is marked -J.W.F.- on top flat. This is for Joe W Farmer. See Below link. Semi buckhorn rear and German Silver blade front sights. Lug style bolster on the engraved case colored percussion lock. Bore is excellent and rifle may be unfired. Plain Maple stock with grooved cheekpiece and grease hole. Iron fittings. Neat double set triggers with hooked set trigger. Set to cock. Minor handling marks, with worse being a ding on left flat of stock. LOP is 13.5". Svelte Rifle weighs in at just over 6.5 lbs. Here is a listing for another of this gentleman's rifles. This is a deal!

Any chance of seeing a photo of the inside of the lock? Reason it is obviously a CVA lock and they made two versions that look almost identical externally. One was a cheap version with no fly or bridle on the tumbler and the other was a perfectly adequate one with bridle, fly and sear stop.
