I want to remove the browning from the lock on my Beck rifle. What would you all recommend?
Thanks for your help, Kevin

Just about anything acidic will remove bluing and browning, from vinegar, to Coke, to Koolaid. I use Brownells Steel White, but Naval Jelly will work fine.

All browning or bluing is, is rust. Anything that removes rust will remove both. Naval Jelly can be a bit hard on the steel if you leave it too long to keep an eye on it as you use it. As soon as the finish is off, clean off the jelly.

I used vinegar and steel wool to remove browning from my lock. You'll have to disassemble the lock for best results.
