For all the trouble the stock is, if the barrels are sound, I’d have it restocked. I don’t know of anything that will dissolve gorilla glue, and not ruin your stock finish. I hope the tubes come out, probably not welded, but be prepared for anything! May have to cut them down with a small cut off wheel, and drill them out, if they will not move.

Above all, apply patience! Stand the breech end in a soup can of penetrating solvent, and let it sit for days on end. If nipples are clogged, pour some solvent down the bores. Every few days clean the nipple areas with a brass wire brush, then soak some more. After a month of soaking and brushing, heat and cool the nipple areas several times. Then try to remove nipples with a good close fitting nipple wrench. After all this, they may still not come out. Face the fact you may have a wall hanger.

Took a 180 year old nipple out of an Enfield pattern 1839. Soaked for over a month in ed`s red, hit it with a propane torch. clamped on the vice grips and it came out like it was put in yesterday. Worked on a Zouave original as well.
