I found this on a French BP forum. [email protected]

To compensate for a future lack of RWS1075 primers (I still have a few) I tried today to make my own primers.
I used H&C products, of which I ordered a set of 26 reusable brass cases and a dose of "product". I did not take the complete H&C kit, because I machined the plate with its loading hole. The cleats are not a problem either and I saved almost 50 euros.

80 matches give 1 gram of powder. I crush it well on a sheet of paper before adding 0.1 grams of H&C "product". I measure weights, not volumes. Then just mix well.

On the loading plate I have a little mixture (at random, very little is needed), divided into 6 to fill the primers of a barrel.
I keep the mixture in a small pod. I don't mix more, because it's apparently not too stable. The brass case for the primer holds well on the chimney after having slightly ovalized it with pliers.

A test has confirmed the good functioning of these primers. It clicks well, the case stays in place. It is reusable after a little cleaning of the combustion residues that remain stuck to the bottom. I'll do a test shot of 2 rounds of 12 bullets at the pits tomorrow.

If you want more information there are plenty of videos on Youtube, including the excellent Paul Lefèbre.
EDIT 1: From what I read on other forum responses, it seems that these H and C reusable caps cannot be used on Colt model revolvers.

This is worth talking about. Making caps is popular pastime now. Thanks for showing this to us. Most here are using a die to punch the cups out of pop cans or brass sheet. The ones made from brass can be reused if resized. Most here have found that matches work poorly as a prime. I would like to know more about the product that you added to make it work.

Those caps and some tweeked prime all look like a good match.
Seems spendy for the caps at their prices to me though.

Makes me wonder if you could make these out of spent 22 lr cases that you trim down. Might have to size them down somehow?

I will again repeat my warning about using matches, toy caps etc as primers..

They all contain potassium chlorate, the residues from which is what eats your barrels if you do not clean them quickly and with a water based detergent cleaner!

Can I also point out that crushing or milling many of the products involved is never carried out manually in industry, for some very good reasons! Primer plants, even commercial ones, blow up at regular intervals and are designed with this "feature" in mind..!

...you have been warned!

If you don't mind what was your final tally with shipping?
My final tally was 75 Euros, which I suppose is around 90 Dollars. That was for the kit, and for 25 reusable primers. The kit itself is not supplied with them. But, I live a days drive from where they are made, the shipping will doubtless be more to the US.

Curious how many shots you get before they fail, good luck!
Cheers! I'll probably use the same four or five on my Hawken, test them to destruction, and let you know. If they are good for say 20 shots or more, then I reckon it's cost effective to buy them.

Have a link for that kit and those caps? thanks

The website is a bit difficult to navigate; it has a little Union Flag icon you can click so it converts into English. The guy who runs the firm is usually quick off the mark in answering any queries.
EDIT: The reusable cap kit does not appear to be on the actual website for some curious reason, but the manufacturer sent me this link to buy it direct:
