I borrowed Chuck Dixon's book "Building the Pennsylvania Longrifle" and Chambers' video on building his kits. I will be picking up "Recreating the American Longrifle" this week from the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Dixon's book and Chambers' video have essentially the same informtation in them. But, Dixon's had some stuff that Chambers' didn't have and vice versa.
Chambers video was better, for me, because everything was shown and explained. Dixon's book is all drawings.

I am a lucky man.
After shooting mine, my wife wants one of her own for christmas.
Fitted to her and carved from a blank with a flower patchbox no less.
She has already found a priming flask!
Long walks in the woods looking for grouse is what convinced her.
She thinks it's romantic.Come to think of it so do I. :thumbsup:
