Been 6 months in the making, but it is finally done and back home.

6 months you say....it only takes a few minutes to install a birdshead grip

Well........

Started life out as a blued 7.5 inch Ruger OA with target sights.

Had the barrel cut to 3.75"
re-crowned muzzle to an 11 degree target crown
the grip frame ground to fit the grips
sight moved back
removed the loading lever, and replaced it with a Belt Mountain Base Pin
removed the bluing, and had it parkerized and then Cerakoted

Why did you go that route Cab?

What is this beast's intended purpose? and how do you load it? That is a very interesting piece... :hmm:

Simply put, I went this route because I wanted to.

More to the point, I find the 7.5" ROA cumbersome, and in discussion with a buddy of mine who shoots IPSIC, he suggested that I shorten the barrel and bob the grip frame to make a retro-combat revolver.

I load it with my 5.5" barrel ROA

The intended purpose of this gun is to carry in all weather conditions
