Yesterday the brown rifle truck showed up with my new toy. A Michael McHugh .45. It has a Chambes Deluxe Siler lock and a .45cal., 42", B weight barrel. Judging by the lack of wear around the vent area, I"m guessing it is unfired. No burn marks around the hole. The pan is still browned. The frizzen face only has a few scratches and browning still in the bottom of them. No grease or oil anywhere on the lock. Not bad for a blind buy with Mike Brook's help.

Very cool rifle, I like it. I'd be happy to run some accuracy tests, (Ahem!) for you if you send it to me. :ghostly:

Dunno........ inside the lock mortise is really too smooth and precise. Many originals were much rougher than this. Just kidding......The rifle looks oldish , very nice.

Beautiful rifle, talented young man with the help of a very knowledgeable gun builder. Two talents that are not wasted. Congratulations on the new rifle.
