From 1st October 2014 till 28th February 2015 the blackpowder hunting season is on again in Hungary at one of the best historical legendary hunting territories of the country.

The place this year is Gyulaj, the legendary fallow deer country. 7600 hectares of ancient forests full of deer and wild boar. The area has its own five star hunting lodges with excellent service, so this territory is completely suitable for a longer stay to enjoy historical hunting in the heart of our country. The season has already started, and here is the film of the historical moment of the first fallow deer buck hunt:

Once again looking for sympathy, the law is the law which we all have to live with. In the near future shooting will be a thing of the past so enjoy the sport while you can within the law.

How are you getting any thing like looking for sympathy out of his post.
Stating facts is not looking for sympathy. From my point of view the UKs gun and hunting laws are absurd. And not likely to improve unless covid or or terrorist blow us back to a more preindustrial life.
But here in the states we certainly have oppresive gun laws. There are states I would not live in. But they must seem like a dream to Britt
They would seem the greatest tyranny to our countries founders
Stating fact and what one goes through to deal with those facts on the ground isn’t asking for sympathy

Only calibres with energy above 2,500 Joules or more is allowed for big game. The exception is roe-deer where the energy of the calibre can be 1,000 Joules or more. Wild boar may also be shot with shotguns (slugs-Brenneke). Automatic or semi-automatic firearms are forbidden in Hungary! Although the hunting species vary in Hungary we recommend the universal calibre of 30 - 06 Springfield for all hunts.

If anyone does get over to Hungary, there is an agricultural museum in a castle in city park, which has an excellent hunting section, loads in it, and some excellent and interesting muzzle loaders
