RB,

I was looking at the rifle in the TOTW that you'd recommended as a nice one from a couple years back.

It was the Jacob Dickert rifle... BUT I think back then I was talking about a 45 cal and I'd want this one to be a 54.. I must have been think'n back arse words back then

Anywho.. What'd be a nice flinter that I can really take my time on? I want to practice at least wire inlays, and brass plate inlays. Heck if I may even try engraving!!! some of the less costly parts.

For the rest of the lot...

See'n that I need to learn what's out there I'll leave this open to other fella's tellin' me what their favorite kit / project rifle is (cap or flint) if they list where to go look at it... (links are easy for make it a nice way for folks to click and compare).

Thanks,
Spot

Spot,.... Ya might try an Isaac Haines flinter if'n you want sumpthin to keep you occupied fer'a while!! ::

Basic construction time would be 'bout the same as a Jacob Dickert,.....and, you have the option of make'n it in .54!!
