Alright guys.

Since I am coming back to this wonderful hobby after not even firing a BP rifle in 20 years. I am in need of some assistance.

I need a list of things I will need to pursue this hobby. I have the rifle. Fox River .50 Perc Cap. Just need the goodies.

What I need to know is what accessories I need to get. Which ones are quality and which ones I should stay away from.

Any help is greatly appreciated
You will need a powder horn or flask, a Short start, patch material, lube of some sort, and a descent bag, I always carry a tiny tool box I made out of an old altoids tin to carry nipple wrench, patch worm, nipple pick and a small screwdriver. I make my own short starts, I have also purchased a quality one from a member from this forum, Simon beans. A Ted Cash capper is a must for me, you will need some roundballs and a way to conveniently carry them ( ball bag of sorts). A nice shooting bag is always good, I make my own measures, but I have a couple adjustable as well made from brass. A small patch knife is also a good idea, I keep mine on my bag with a sheath that’s built in to bag strap. My flintlock is similar but I have a few different items that wouldn’t pertain to caplocks.
