I just recieved my 58 cal rb`s from totw and there are little flat humps in them ,I guess that is what a spur is anyways do have to file them off or do I have to load them a certain way [spur up or down ] this is the first time i`ve ordered from them, all others that I have bought were for the most part round ,brandname balls thankyou in advance ::

"conventional wisdom" says that they should be loaded sprue up, but MuzzleBlast magazine ran a story testing the theory and proved it was bunk...I don't shoot well enough to worry about it...Hank

Yep!!.. Thet is the cast ball's "sprue" alright!!

Them balls can be loaded either way, sprue "up" or "down",.... most folks load'em "up", but I know of a few others thet load'em "down"!!

No need fer "file'n"!! :haha:

No need to do anything but shoot them, don't file them off. It doesn't really matter how you load them.
Or you can do like me, being superstitious, I alway load the sprue in the direction the wind is blowing. I know it doesn't do anything but it makes me feel better. :redthumb:
