Back in the day John Gallagher built a takedown latch that did not require a screwdriver.
While John is no longer with us, I emailed his son Isaac who related that it was something they no longer provide.

My google searches have not yet paid off - anybody know if somebody makes something similar?
If not, I have some ideas I can try - but I thought I would check around a bit first.

I’ve long considered adding a small piece of metal to the screw slot on the stock latch. Soldered in place it’d work just fine. Soon as I get a roundtoit, I’ll do just that.

That's pretty slick  -- maybe someday I will look into it but for now I have MANY other projects in the que.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::ghostly:

Nice little touch but a coin works just fine. Then again, I guess with debit cards etc. people don't always carry coins anymore. As I write this I don't have any in my pocket but when I am at my work bench I have several coins of different denominations just for such purposes.
