Russ Ham Lock?

I recently purchased a Bedford style percussion rifle that has a Russ Ham lock. Are these locks reliable? It seems to be quite delicate, but functions well. Any info you readers can provide would be appreciated.

No parts to be found. I’ve worked on one lately and thought it to be of modest quality. The flint lock that was brought to me had poorly fitting parts and screws but worked with a lot of effort. After making a couple of screws to more closely fit the holes they go into and reshaping the frizzen toe and sear spring it has preformed fairly well. Percussion locks have a much easier job to do so it may be OK.

Never had one but I recall they were high dollar back in the day. On par with Davis and Land R

I put one on a rifle that I built in the 70's. Worked OK until it broke. I could not find any replacement parts so it became a wall hanger until I sold it to a friend that wanted it on his wall.

I have a Russ Ham percussion I bought back in the early 70's. Never used it.
