Rust blue.

I just did my first rust blue. I’ve browned a couple of barrels before. It turned out great! Was it luck? I did it with a scrap 2” PVC pipe And the Laurel Mountain stuff. July in Texas may be the perfect environment.

Nice! The Laurel Mountain solution is pretty much foolproof as long as you follow the directions to the letter. It's all I use now for browning and rust bluing.

I did not count the rust periods but I boiled it twice in distilled water.

Nice ! I did a barrel using LMF this spring. Couldn't be happier with the results.
