Greetings from a sister site member. I have zero experience with traditional muzzle loaders. I wish to gain insights from the more knowledgeable members of this forum. My background is collecting and researching curios and relics. My primary focus has been on WWII rifles of Allied and Axis forces. However, I also have a small collection of traditional and modern muzzle loaders. My plan is to get involved with firing both traditional and modern. I have two flintlocks, one a commercial, the other possibly a custom build.. I will probably ask a lot of dumb questions. But I will read thread postings extensively to minimize those.
